Sweet Bones Company

Sweet Bones is a vegan café and bakery in Braddon, Canberra, Australia. Owners Emily and Russell Brindley have a passion for no frills whole foods. The café has a rustic, rock’n’roll feeing with a friendly local vibe. The food is inventive, cruelty free and most of all delicious. We source as much local and organic ingredients as possible and most items can be made gluten free.

Due to how busy it can get, we don’t take reservations. There is also a 10% surcharge on Sunday which goes directly to our staff.

Our marinated Tempeh on lightly toasted Sonoma rye bread with sauerkraut, mustard and Russian dressing.

Eggless Egg Salad Sandwich $13 GF option available

Our spiced tofu in house made mayo, with lettuce, tomato and onion served on lightly toasted Sonoma rye bread with a side of pickles.

Sourdough Toast $11.50 GF option available

Sonoma sourdough wholemeal miche lightly toasted with olive oil, tomato, avocado, lemon, salt and pepper.

Tempeh Bacon Melt $13 GF option available

Smokey tempeh “bacon”, coconut cheese, mushroom slices, caramalized onions, pickles, housemade mayo on a turkish roll toasted.

Roasted Pumpkin Sandwich $14.50 GF option available

Pumpkin roasted with garlic and herbs, sundried tomato pesto, hummus, cucumbers and lettuce on lightly toasted Sonoma sourdough.

Stuffed Mushrooms $13 GF

Marinated mushrooms, stuffed with seasoned quinoa, pumpkin and kale. Served on a bed of mixed greens in a light vinaigrette.

The TLT $14 GF option available

Tempeh, lettuce, tomato, coconut bacon and house made mayo on lightly toasted Sonoma rye bread. Served with a side of pickles. Add avocado $2

Our famous banana bread $6 contains nuts

Our house made banana bread is loaded with coconut, oats, dates and macadamias, served with coconut maple butter.
